Youth Activities by the Young Muslims Sisters (12-16 yrs)
You've already done the hard bit if you've booked your ticket! Now prepare to enjoy yourself as you spend four days in the beautiful location that is Lincolnshire.
This year at Living Islam, if you're a girl aged between 12 and 16 you're definitely going to be the luckiest people at the camp. You'll meet fantastic people and spend four whole days making friends from all around the country. You'll also get to do really cool activities, hear from inspiring people and learn more about how YOU can be one of those people.
We've got a whole programme just for girls so if you don't fancy the big top there's always something exciting going on in the girls' marquee. Whether you want to learn to drum with the Fletcher Valve Drummers, juggle with a fire juggler, take part in a 'play in a day' with directors from the Royal Exchange Theatre, drink tea with Dawud Wharnsby Ali or just sit and learn to knit there's plenty for everyone.
For the sporty amongst you, we've got some great sports, yoga, paintballing and a schools sports day style competition - pit your wits and agility against other cities and see who's the best!
For when you want some quiet time we've got a spiritual boost just after Fajr every morning and a Qiyam (night-vigil) on the Friday night.
And finally, for those of you who just don't want the magic to end and want to be part of YM back at home, we've got a workshop on the Saturday that will show you just how you can be part of a revolution!
We can't wait to see you!
Peace

The 0-5 years Play Zone
Once again this year we are pleased to be able to offer to you the 0-5yrs play zone. The
absolute aim of this zone is to make the camp a pleasant experience for the child and a
relaxing one for the parent! For parents, there will be a live link-up to the main program
enabling them to supervise their children and take part in the program at the same time.
There will also be a selection of all the basic amenities which will be made available
during the day. These include:
Kettles, Microwaves, Bottle Warmers, High chairs, Breast-feeding area, Baby changing mats
Children will be able to participate in a variety of creative activities such as sticking,
colouring, play dough, collage, story times, puppet show, making masks, sing-along nasheeds
and much more!
There will also be bouncy castles, slides, bikes, trikes and many other toys to focus their
abundant (and sometimes endless!) amounts of energy.
Additionally we hope to have a special surprise from some descendants of Noah's ark. This is one part of the programme you cannot miss - your children will love you for it!
**Please note: The 0-5 play zone is NOT a crèche facility and parents must supervise their children at all times
